This month-long online sports theme is an opportunity to share in the joy of being active while also protecting the environment. The company sent me a promotional pair of athletic shorts to try out last year that feature recycled fabric, and they’ve been a favorite ever since. I mostly use them for paddleboarding and kayaking because they are quick drying-drying and have a secure zippered pocket. The company and its supply chains are certified by the Global Recycling Standard, demonstrating a strong commitment to recycling materials. The Use of Recycled MaterialsAn impressive 75% of Baleaf’s recycled nylon comes from fishing nets, which conserves crude oil and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. And 90% of its recycled polyester is made from plastic bottles, which saves water and emissions. Its packaging also uses recycled nylon and polyester. Baleaf plans to increase the recycled content in its clothing to 100% by 2035!
